Welcome
Arukah is a small Lifestyle training center – a homelike institution – situated in the heart of the Northern Drakensberg mountains in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Our center is surrounded by nature and tucked away in the small community of Geluksburg near the Lost Valley. This environment with its sunshine, fresh air, lovely nature, quietness and friendly people is ideal for a lifestyle center and for those who seek health of body, mind and soul. You can enjoy a country life atmosphere, eat organic produce from our organic garden, taste healthy vegetarian meals, relax with a massage and spend time in nature and the mountains. These are just a few activities we offer at our lifestyle center. But our real interest is in your health and restoration.
Arukah means “wholeness” in the Hebrew language, the restoration of the whole person in body, mind and soul. The project was started in 2014 from ground level by two families whose desire is the restoration of health for others. Our world is facing rising numbers of lifestyle related diseases in the Western as well as in developing countries like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity, immune compromising, cancer and the list goes on. Are there solutions to these illnesses? How few realize that many of these diseases are reversible and could be treated effectively. There are relatively simple answers to these problems. Our purpose for existence as a Lifestyle training center is two fold:
- To teach and train people home based care, using simple, natural remedies with small, consistent lifestyle changes to remedy and prevent diseases.
- To advise and help people with lifestyle related diseases.
